My life is all I have to go off. Based on the actions of those that are in the LGBTQIA community I have felt loved, accepted, understood, and treated as a person. My personal preferences were never asked about or judged. When no one else wanted to help me with my struggling junk business, it was a gay couple that gave me thousands of dollars to upgrade my business. They treated me more like family than my own family. I have struggled over the years to embrace my creativity. I grew up being told all that mattered was brute strength. Thinking about a career through creating would never work. The way to a glorious wealthy life was pipe dreams and multi-level marketing. In between that, you worked hard with your labor.
So to those that have paved the way to be yourself, thank you! I’m finally striving to be my creative self and your community has supported me the whole time. I am not one of the members of your community. I am a supporter and advocate.
